Velo Veloce Sunday rides: update

Hello Omaha Bikers!

The Velo/Greenstreet ride for Sunday, June 12th, will be at 11 AM as usual. This will afford those not on our email list and those who don't check out Group Ride Omaha blog, yet participate in our ride, to be informed of the upcoming change.

The upcoming change will be a 930 AM start on Sunday, June 19th. The 930 AM start time was selected to:
1. Accommodate a cooler starting temperature
2. Allow riders/family to attend early church and still make the ride
3. Allow riders to enjoy Blue Line coffee before the ride, as Blue Line opens at 9 AM.

I hope this clarifies the starting time for the Velo/Greenstreet ride for the next two weeks and beyond.

Details, starting Sunday, June 19th:
WHO: Road or cross bicycle riders interested in moderately paced group road rides. Rides open to everyone, not just Velo Veloce members.

WHAT: Road rides starting and ending at Greenstreet Cycles, 1310 Mike Fahey Street, near the new downtown baseball stadium. See Greenstreet Cycles for a map. Helmets required. Riders understand that Velo/Greenstreet is not liable for accidents.

WHERE: Meet at nearby Blue Line Coffee if you are early. Ride will leave from Greenstreet storefront at 930 AM. Various routes, but 30 to 40 miles in length, approximately 2 hours long, on public streets and highways. Riders must be comfortable with riding on the street.

WHEN: Sunday mornings, 930 AM. Rides leave promptly at 930, so please arrive early.
